Business Inspiration
Ten podcasts to give you serious business motivation

Any of our eagle-eyed social media followers will have noticed that we are big fans of sharing #MondayMotivation every week over on Twitter. One of the main reasons that we do is because we appreciate just how disheartening the entrepreneurial journey can be at times. Nobody said building a business was easy, after all!

That’s why we like to begin the week with some positivity, not only to get our followers excited for the next 7 days, but also to remind them that all of the hard work is worth it in the end. The fact of the matter is, that many of the most successful entrepreneurs and companies out there have faced setbacks and challenges in their early days, and were still able to go on to achieve great things.

As long as they understood their users, that is!

With this in mind we wanted to dedicated a whole blog post to getting the business inspiration flowing with one of our favourite things: Podcasts. Below we’ve listed our ten top favourites, all of which will give you some brilliant insights into being an entrepreneur and will help you to stay focused on your journey.

1. The Disruptive Entrepreneur

2. Ted Talks: Carol Dweck: ‘The Power of Believing That You Can Improve’

3. Ted Talks: Angela Lee Duckworth: ‘Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance’

“We need to take our best ideas, our strongest intuitions, and we need to test them. We need to measure whether we’ve been successful, and we have to be willing to fail, to be wrong, to start over again with lessons learned.”

While Duckworth’s talk was largely focused on instilling ‘grittiness’ into the younger generation, the resounding message applies to business, too. The understanding that failure is not the end point is of paramount importance to many business scenarios.

4. Startup Podcast

A self-proclaimed “documentary series about entrepreneurial life”, this podcast has been downloaded tens of millions of times since first launching and has even been turned into an ABC sitcom.
